Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider
Course Information
Target Audience:
For healthcare providers - for example, EMS personnel, physician assistants, physicians, dentists, nurses, respiratory therapist and others who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course.

Features & Benefits:
- This course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages, use of an automated external defibrillator and relief of choking.
- A student CD, included with the text, contains supplemental information for interested students on topic such as stroke, cardiac arrest, and special resuscitation situations.
- The course is video-based with instructor-led discussion and simulation.  Students participate in, practice and complete various skills and learning stations.
- Ideal for learners who prefer group interaction and feedback from an instructor while learning skills.

Course Length:
Initial Certification - 4.5 Hours appox.
Recertification - 3.5 Hours appox.

Note: Those who wish to take the recertification course must have a American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider Card that has not yet expired to take the recertification course.  If the card has already expired, you must take the full course.  No Exceptions

Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Course Information
Description:
For healthcare providers working in emergency treatment, intensive care or critical care, and other professionals who may need to respond to a cardiovascular emergency.

Course Content:
- Course uses learning stations for practice of essential skills.
- Students engage in simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation.
- Hands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency
- Classroom-based works well for learners who prefer group interaction and instructor feedback while learning skills

Course Length:
15 Hours

It is highly recommended that you have past experience interpreting ECG(s) and a understanding of emergency cardiac pharmacology before attending this course.  Our ECG and Pharmacology course is a excellent prepatory course if you do not have past experience.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Course Information
Description:
The PALS course is designed to provide pediatric healthcare providers with the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children and help improve outcomes.

Course Content:
- Recognition and treatment of infants and children at risk for cardio-pulmonary arrest
- The systematic approach to pediatric assessment
- Effective respiratory management
- Validate skills for 1- and 2-person CPR and AED skills for infant  and child
- Defibrillation and synchronized cardioversion
- Intraosseous access and fluid bolus administration
- Effective resuscitation team dynamics

15 Hours

ECG and Pharmacology
Course Information
Description:
For healthcare providers working in emergency treatment, intensive care or critical care, and other professionals who would like to learn more about ECG and cardiac pharmacology.  This course is excellent for student that are initially taking ACLS or PALS with no past experience.

Course Content:
- Course uses learning stations for practice of essential skills.
- Students engage in simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation.
- Hands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency
- Classroom-based works well for learners who prefer group interaction and instructor feedback while learning skills
